BIG FISH AUDITIONS
THE ENCORE MUSICAL THEATRE COMPANY announces auditions for their upcoming production of BIG FISH, directed by Thalia V. Schramm, music directed by Leah Fox, and choreographed by Rachel Costantino. With rehearsals beginning March
With music and lyrics by Andrew Lippa, and a book by John August, Big Fish – Small Cast Edition is the new, small-cast version (for 12-actors) of the Broadway musical. Based on the celebrated novel by Daniel Wallace and the acclaimed film directed by Tim Burton, Big Fish tells the story of Edward Bloom, a traveling salesman who lives life to its fullest… and then some! Edward’s incredible, larger-than-life stories thrill everyone around him – most of all, his devoted wife Sandra. But their son Will, about to have a child of his own, is determined to find the truth behind his father’s epic tales. Overflowing with heart, humor and spectacular stagecraft, Big Fish is an extraordinary new Broadway musical that reminds us why we love going to the theatre – for an experience that’s richer, funnier and BIGGER than life itself.
Auditions will take place Sunday, December 3rd from 8:00pm-10:00pm, and Sunday, December 10th from 8:00pm-10:00pm.
Please prepare a 32-bar contemporary musical theatre piece in the style of the show. Please have your sheet music printed double sided in a binder for the accompanist, clearly marked. Please bring a copy of your headshot and resume.
